About Kayli

I have wanted to be a hairstylist for as long as I remember. I started out cutting my Barbie’s hair at a young age and maybe a couple friends hair… oops! I loved that transformation and creating something beautiful.

Fast-forward in time

To my middle school and high school years… I would take any chance I could get to convince my friends to let me play with their hair. Freshman P.E. was my time to shine! Girls would always ask me to french braid their hair, and this was where I really started to find my love for braiding.

After high school, I thought about attending beauty school but was discouraged listening to others opinions about how it’s “not a real school” or that I wouldn’t make enough money. So I decided to go to community college for business. I had no idea what I wanted to do with it, but I knew I didn’t want to work for someone else.

Cosmetology clarity

After getting my associates in business, I decided to listen to my gut and study beauty and cosmetology and enrolled at Paul Mitchell the School at Campus in Sacramento. This is where my passion really grew and I realized my true love for styling hair!

I was lucky to meet my best friend there, and she just happened to have the most long and luscious hair I have ever felt. She let me practice new techniques and new styles all the time. I actually ended up becoming a finalist in a prom-inspired contest for all Paul Mitchell schools. From here my passion grew even stronger. I just loved it.

Creating Calluna

After years of working in salons, while simultaneously building my business on the side, I finally decided to launch in full time!

I absolutely love being able to work in a field where I get to put my creative side to good use. I also love to connect with people, listen to their stories and chat with them about exciting things in their life. As a bridal stylist, you can expect me to be a supportive cheerleader and hype woman!!

With all of my clients, I want to make sure they feel heard every step of the way, comfortable to chat about any changes they want, and confident as we create their exact vision – or something even more beautiful!

I will be here with you from the start of your journey all the way to the end. Starting with the easy booking process, you can choose and plan out every detail you need for your wedding hair needs. From there, the style options are endless and so much fun to explore. Through the trial run and wedding day, you can sit back and relax knowing you are being taken care of.
